Personal Care Option is most commonly known as PCO. PCO can help in many different aspects of care.
For example:

An individual is taking care of their father full time
-
Their father has full Medicaid coverage
-
The individual and the father could sign up for PCO. The individual would become the caregiver and be paid for their time.

Personal Care Option provides:
Transportation, cooking, laundry, grocery shopping.
Bathing, hair, skin care, eating.
Mobility assistance, bowel and bladder services, assistance with self-administered medications.
Patient Choices Directed:
Allows patients to act as his/her own employer.
Patient selects and manages his/her Personal Care Attendant.
Our agency assists patients with development of their PCO program.
Our agency is responsible for the paperwork and payroll.
Our agency does criminal background checks on caregivers.
Our agency provides 12 hours of on-going training per year to caregivers.
Qualification Criteria:
Full Medicaid Coverage
At least 21 years of age or older
Patient requires help with two or more Activities of Daily Living
