We would like to say what an honor
it is to be able to write a note about the Home Health Care and Hospice.
Our husband/dad had the privilege of working with this group of care providers for the past
year. They not only worked with the patient but with the care givers as
well. They would come over whenever they were needed, day or night.
We can't say enough about the administrators, nurses and therapy workers that
worked with us. Thank you again for all you do.

Dear Mr. Jones and Hospice Staff,
Where do we start? Thank you does
not seem adequate. When Brandon chose to
discontinue treatment, Hospice was brought up. We immediately chose Homecare Connection due to our personal experience
with Janet Janes. She was and is an
awesome person and nurse. We were
definitely scared as we didn’t like the name Hospice—associating it with
death. We were immediately put at eases
by Janet as she explained the program to us. Maaike came and made it even easier by helping us make informed
decisions and put them in writing. Then
Andy came and eased our spiritual concerns and always had a smile on his face.
Janet left the company a few week
into Brandon’s care but Debra made the transition so easy. I had been so afraid of the nurse’s taking
away my role as Brandon’s caregiver. However, Debra and Andrea enhanced that by sharing information with me
and listening and talking with me as well.
The day after Christmas Brandon had
a bad spell with difficulty breathing and chest pain. Andrea showed up on Sunday and stayed with us
until Brandon was resting comfortably and pain free. The nurses continued to visit 2-3 times a
week and were always available to answer questions and calls and numerous
texts. And trust me I had a lot of
questions. From time to time different
nurses would come, Samantha, Amber, and Cassie-I’m sure I am missing names but
they were always very helpful. Andrea
and Debra continued at Brandon’s request to be our main nurses.
One of the things that was important
to Brandon and I both was that when his time came to leave us that it would be
just immediate family at his side as he didn’t want others seeing him. That was fine with me and the kids but we were
also very scared and had a lot of “what ifs”?
Brandon started going downhill late
Saturday evening, my daughter and I were scared, his breathing sounded
awful. We called Andrea and she was here
within minutes. We told her how scared
we were by his breathing and lack of response and she stayed until the wee
hours of the morning until we felt comfortable with her leaving.
On Sunday morning Brandon couldn’t
swallow his pills and Andrea had patients but she quickly rearranged and showed
up and helped us. My children and I sat
with Brandon and any blink or change in
facial expression would cause us to say, “Andrea”. She was always right there and very
reassuring to us and Brandon. She even
helped us communicate with him. Once
again she stayed until the wee hours-rearranging her schedule on the
phone. On Monday morning she arrived
very bright and early without us even calling for her.
As the day wore on, we all knew that
it was only a matter of time. Andrea
became one of us and talked with us and reassured us. As the day turned into night we knew it was
our final hours with Brandon and once
again we immediately called for Andrea and ask her not to leave us.
Andrea allowed us to escort Brandon
into the next life and not be afraid. She allowed me to remain his caregiver to the end. And the most important part is that she put
Brandon at ease and I don’t feel he was afraid. She also helped us honor his wishes which were to have his family
(Andrea included) at his side.
I am certain that ours is not an unusual
or uncommon instance and that is more the norm with hospice patients. However, I was totally in awe of the
wonderful care that we received through your agency.
After seeing firsthand all the love
and compassion displayed to each of our family members that is why a Thank you
seems so inadequate.
From the depths of our heart and
with deepest gratitude,

Dear Chris and Jill:
This letter is to say how much I
have enjoyed your services, last year with Hip surgery and again in November
2011 through January of 2012 for Rotary Cuff Surgery.
All the nurses were terrific and so
caring. The OT Janice was wonderful, efficient and always caring, anytime for
each appointment.
Lisa Mendoza, CNA during the Hip
surgery as well as the rotator cuff surgery. This year has been one of the best
experiences of my 81 years. She is so caring each time, so thoughtful with each
appointment, so honest and very efficient in each time she was here. If I were
need y our services again, I will ask for her again as I have in the past.
Thanks to each employee, the office staff as well.
My family thanks all of the above as
I do as well.
